Absolute Radio, KISS, KISSTORY, and Magic Radio to Broadcast in DAB+

BauerMedia

Bauer Media Audio UK is set to transition four of its prominent radio stations—Absolute Radio, KISS, KISSTORY, and Magic Radio—to the DAB+ format on March 31, 2025. This shift will enhance audio quality by moving from mono to stereo broadcasts, aligning these stations with other services on the Digital One multiplex.

Peter Davies, Chief Operating Officer for Bauer Media Audio UK, commented on the initiative: “We continually review how we can improve our audience’s listening experience, and this simple change allows us to deliver higher-quality audio to more of our listeners.”

The adoption of DAB+ not only improves sound quality but also optimizes bandwidth usage, potentially allowing for the introduction of additional services on the national Digital One platform. Listeners are being informed of this upcoming change to ensure a smooth transition and continued enjoyment of these stations

This move underscores Bauer Media’s commitment to leveraging advanced broadcasting technologies to enrich the listener experience across the UK.
