About BBC Radio Berkshire
BBC Radio Berkshire is the BBC’s local radio station serving the county of Berkshire, as well as parts of North Hampshire and South Oxfordshire. Launched on 21 January 1992, the station provides a mix of local news, talk, and music programming. Its studios are located in Reading, and it broadcasts across multiple platforms including FM, DAB, and Freeview.
The station’s programming includes a variety of shows, with presenters such as Andrew Peach, Sarah Walker, and Tony Blackburn. BBC Radio Berkshire also offers regional programs during off-peak hours, produced in collaboration with other BBC local stations. As with all BBC Local Radio stations, it airs the networked weekday evening shows originating from BBC Radio Leeds and produced independently by Wire Free Productions.
