BBC Radio Cymru 2 - Live

BBC Radio Cymru 2 is a Welsh-language digital radio station operated by BBC Cymru Wales. Launched on 29-1-2018, the station was created to provide a fresh, music-led alternative to the main BBC Radio Cymru service, which is more news and talk focused. Available on DAB digital radio across Wales and online via BBC Sounds, Radio Cymru 2 has become a popular choice for Welsh-speaking audiences who want more music, entertainment and personality-driven shows.

Originally broadcasting only a morning breakfast programme, BBC Radio Cymru 2 has steadily expanded its schedule. In March 2024, the station was granted regulatory approval to extend its programming hours, allowing it to serve listeners throughout the day. By October 2024, Radio Cymru 2 began simulcasting selected overnight programming from BBC Radio 2, including the weekday early show hosted by Owain Wyn Evans.
