Heart Hampshire originally launched as Ocean FM in 1998, serving Portsmouth, Southampton, and surrounding areas with local music, news, and entertainment. The station became a familiar voice for listeners across Hampshire over the following decades.

In March 2009, Ocean FM was rebranded as Heart, joining Global Radio’s Heart Network. Today, Heart Hampshire plays the biggest hits and feel-good favourites, alongside local news, travel updates, and entertainment for listeners across Hampshire.
