Heart South Hams originally launched as South Hams Radio, serving the South Hams area of Devon with local music, news, and community programming. The station quickly became a familiar voice for listeners across the district.

In March 2009, South Hams Radio was rebranded as Heart, joining Global Radio’s Heart Network. Today, Heart South Hams plays the biggest hits and feel-good favourites, alongside local news, travel updates, and entertainment for listeners across the South Hams region.
