Heart Suffolk originally launched as SGR FM in 1989, serving Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, and the surrounding areas with local music, news, and entertainment. The station became a familiar voice for listeners across Suffolk over the following decades.
In January 2009, SGR FM was rebranded as Heart, joining Global Radioβs Heart Network. Today, Heart Suffolk plays the biggest hits and feel-good favourites, alongside local news, travel updates, and entertainment for listeners across the county.
