Heart Sussex originally launched as Southern FM in 1983, serving Brighton, Hove, and the surrounding areas with local music, news, and entertainment. The station became a familiar voice for listeners across the county.
In March 2009, Southern FM was rebranded as Heart, joining Global Radioβs Heart Network. Today, Heart Sussex plays the biggest hits and feel-good favourites, alongside local news, travel updates, and entertainment for listeners across Sussex.
