About Heart Yorkshire
Heart Yorkshire launched as 96.3 Aire FM in September 1990, broadcasting to Leeds and West Yorkshire. It was later rebranded as Galaxy 105 in 1997, becoming one of the UK’s most recognisable dance and hit music stations.
Following Global Radio’s acquisition of Chrysalis Radio in 2007, Galaxy became part of the wider Global network. In January 2011, Galaxy Yorkshire was rebranded as Heart, adopting Heart’s popular mix of feel-good music.
Today, Heart Yorkshire continues to broadcast the biggest hits, entertainment and shows, connecting listeners across the region as part of the Heart Network.
