Hits Radio East Midlands is a contemporary music station broadcasting across the East Midlands on DAB digital radio and online. Part of the nationwide Hits Radio network and owned by Bauer Media Audio UK, the station delivers today’s biggest hits alongside the best throwbacks, national entertainment shows, and up-to-the-minute news and travel updates. Originally launching in 1997 as Radio 106, the station has evolved through various identities – including Century 106, Heart 106, and Gem – before adopting the Hits Radio brand in April 2024. It serves a weekly audience of over 150,000 listeners, combining the energy of a national station with locally relevant news and information for Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, and beyond.
