About The Voice
The Voice is a community-focused radio station serving North Devon, broadcasting from its Barnstaple studios on DAB digital radio, FM (106.1 & 107.8), online, and via mobile apps. Reaching 14,000 weekly listeners as of September 2024 (RAJAR), it delivers local news, music, and entertainment.
Launched online in 2010, The Voice was created in response to reduced local programming on commercial stations. It secured a full-time DAB licence in 2012 and launched FM broadcasts in 2014, covering Barnstaple, Bideford, and Ilfracombe. The station operates from state-of-the-art studios in Barnstaple and has been recognized as North Devon’s most-listened-to station.
In April 2024, The Voice introduced The Voice 2, a DAB, online, and mobile station dedicated to music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Whether tuning in for local news, music, or community updates, The Voice remains North Devon’s go-to station for entertainment and information.
