Boom Radio UK is a national, independent radio station created for the baby boomer generation (born 1946–1964). Launched in 2021 by radio veterans Phil Riley and David Lloyd, Boom Radio delivers a unique mix of classic hits, presenter-led shows, and intelligent conversation—all remotely produced by iconic broadcasters like David Hamilton and Diana Luke. Broadcasting via DAB and online, the station was designed to serve mature listeners often overlooked by mainstream media. With sister stations Boom Light and Boom Rock, Boom continues to grow its audience while challenging BBC Radio 2’s shift toward younger demographics.
